Donnal Poppe and Marjorie Salvaterra │The Edge
The Edge provides an exploration of contemporary themes. When taken together, the works of Salvaterra and Poppe offer a unique and thought-provoking perspective on societal issues and climate change. "The Edge" is an exhibition that is not to be missed by art enthusiasts, environmentalists, and anyone interested in exploring the intersection of art and society.
Opening reception May 6 from 6-10 pm in conjunction with the monthly Santa Ana Art Walk. On view from May 6 to May 26, 2023. Gallery hours: Friday to Sunday - noon to 5 p.m or by appointment.
Donnal Poppe is a sculptor and assemblage artist based in Los Angeles. Her work, which explores the dynamics of environmental destruction caused by human actions and the passage of time, is the focus of her Disaster House series. Poppe's sculptures are intense, questioning the impact of climate change on our daily lives. Additionally, her ladder series explores issues of societal movement and gender.
