Festival of Sails

Festival of Sails (FOS), combines tradition with technology, heritage with technology, and tactics with teamwork. FOS was first held in 1844. It has attracted over 100,000 people every January to the Royal Geelong Yacht Club and along the Geelong waterfront. FOS is most well-known for its Melbourne to Geelong Passage Race, which is the oldest sporting event of the Southern Hemisphere.
