Morro Bay Car Show

After spending a few years contemplating how a car show could benefit the Morro Bay community, Ron McIntosh (car enthusiast) and Steve Carnes (business owner) shared their ideas with Dave Tope. The unique location on the coast was a draw and they both agreed to launch the Cruisin' Morro Car Show 1997. It attracted 125 registrants, making it a designated 501c3 charity.

Twenty-two years later, Cruisin' Moor Bay Car Show has become a well-oiled machine, with many volunteers, sponsors, and business owners supporting it. There are costs such as insurance, permits from the City, and logistics, from garbage pickup to porta-potties.
