NAMA Recovery

The National Alliance for Medication Assisted Recovery (NAMA Recovery) consists of individuals who are in medication assisted recovery from opioid use disorder, healthcare professionals, and family members of those with opioid use disorder who advocate for high-quality, comprehensive treatment, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD).

NAMA Recovery boasts a global membership numbering in the thousands, with affiliated organizations around the world and chapters across various locations in the United States.

The primary aim of NAMA Recovery is to support individuals undergoing medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder by promoting destigmatization and empowerment.

At its core, NAMA Recovery challenges detrimental stereotypes that impact the self-esteem and value of many patients, offering a strong affirmation of pride and solidarity.
