VisArts is passionately committed to our mission of transforming individuals and communities by the visual arts. This starts with including, supporting and partnering with our communities. Since 1987, VisArts has been dedicated to creating a diverse, welcoming community that embraces and nurtures diversity. We are grateful to our board, artists, staff, board members, Artist Advisory Council members and volunteers who believe in open expression and free exchange of ideas.

Over the last 34 years, VisArts has evolved and changed. We've realized that society and organization are facing a complex web inequalities. Therefore, we need to create a new legacy of diversity and equity, inclusion, accessibility, and inclusivity (DEIA). We started our equity journey many years ago when we created an Inclusion Committee. Now, we are ramping up the work to make VisArts more equitable.
